Curriculum
Waukee CSD is dedicated to providing a challenging and engaging learning experience. Teams of educators collaborate on a predetermined cycle to review and enhance the curriculum across all educational areas. Our curriculum clearly defines objectives to ensure every student knows, understands, and can apply their knowledge effectively.
Academic Assessments
At Waukee CSD, teachers use assessments to measure a student’s knowledge, skills, abilities, or performance in a specific study area. Standards-based reporting ensures that instruction, assessment, grading, and academic reporting are all determined when a student can showcase mastery of the knowledge and skills expected at each level.
Course Descriptions
At Waukee CSD, students gain more flexibility in their academic class choices as they advance. Our course description guide displays our variety of classes, designed to help students find and pursue their passions. Guided by our curriculum, we offer traditional academic subjects and career-oriented learning, supported by our Career Compass program. This holistic approach ensures students achieve success and acquire practical skills for their future endeavors.
