Our curriculum is designed to focus on the joy of learning and growth, ensuring every student experiences a fulfilling educational journey. By keeping students our priority, we strive to create an environment that nurtures their unique potential and prepares them for future success.

Curriculum Review Process

Review and redevelopment are pivotal in enhancing student learning experiences, engagement, and outcomes while ensuring adherence to our equity standards in a rapidly expanding and increasingly diverse school district. This process is integral to implementing new and innovative educational opportunities for our students.

Our curriculum review operates on a staggered, seven-year cycle. However, changes in state legislation can accelerate this timeline. Each academic department has a dedicated team to assess and refine standards, benchmarks, and objectives. Our holistic approach encompasses national and state-level mandates alongside the specific educational needs of our local community. When a curriculum review cycle is complete, the School Board reviews and endorses any updated standards.

Teacher Communication

As a parent or guardian, you can expect to receive detailed information about your child’s curriculum from their primary teacher(s). For students in K-5, teachers often share a brief video or informational slides to outline the grade-level standards and expectations. As your child advances to middle and high school, you’ll receive curriculum updates from each teacher in various formats. No matter how the information is provided, your child’s teacher can answer any questions about what your child is learning.
