Beyond the Bell — Elementary School Child Care
Waukee CSD provides convenient before-and-after-school child care programs at all elementary schools for kindergarten through fifth-grade students.
Our Beyond the Bell (BTB) program is designed to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children can thrive. Open communication between staff, families, and schools ensures that every child’s needs are met. Caring and dedicated staff serve as positive role models, giving children opportunities to grow socially, build friendships, and develop confidence. Through a variety of games, crafts, activities, and social interactions, we cultivate a positive atmosphere full of fun.
Little Learners Club — Preschool Wrap-Around Child Care
New for the 2025-26 School Year
Waukee CSD provides a wrap-around child care program for preschoolers at Vince Meyer Learning Center, with limited availability. Eligible students must be 4 years old by Sept. 15 of the enrolling year and have taken the first steps to register in our preschool program. Care is available Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including morning child care, afternoon preschool classes, and additional care until pickup.
