Did you know approximately one-third of all food and beverages are delivered by pollinators and many species of native pollinators and domesticated honeybees are in decline? Recently, Waukee APEX students led an event to support pollinators.
Congratulations to the forty-two third grade students from Shuler Elementary who completed their book challenge! They read one book each from ten different series in a set amount of time. Shuler Elementary even had four students read one book from all sixty of the series options!
Waukee Nutrition Services hosted visitors from USDA's Midwest Region and the Iowa Department of Education on Thursday. Nutrition staff provided updates on the District’s Farm to School planning grant and Eason Elementary's Tower Gardens while enjoying a delicious school lunch! #WCSDNutrition #farmtoschool

20 Waukee High School students were selected for the Regional North Central/Central American Choral Directors Association Honor Choirs. These students will travel to Milwaukee in March to participate in the honor choirs, which will be comprised of students from a ten-state region!
