17 Waukee Athletes Sign Letters of Intent
17 student athletes from the 2016 graduating class have signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers at the Division I, Division II, NAIA or Junior College level. According to Activities Director Jim Duea that number will grow this spring as several athletes remain undecided at this time.
This group of athletes has helped 31 Waukee athletic teams qualify for the state tournament in 10 different sports. Of those teams, 11 went on to win state team championships. A versatile and talented group of athletes, they combined to earn 84 varsity letters. Most importantly the groups cumulative GPA was an impressive 3.57.
