WHS Students Attend Annual Youth Salute

22 students from Waukee High School were chosen to attend the National Conference on Youth Leadership’s (NCYL) 25th Annual Youth Salute. The event was held September 10-11, at Drake University.

Participants were able to hear from national and local speakers about student leadership, as well as participate in group activities and more.

“My favorite part of the council was getting to meet other students from different schools. We also did fun personality tests and bonding games,” said participant Allison Baty.

Students were selected by their schools and were able to participate with more than 250 students from 24 area high schools.
