Prairieview Health Teacher Tiffany Thomas-Killam Receives Golden Apple Award

When Prairieview Health Teacher Tiffany Thomas-Killam arrived at school on January 29, she had no idea about the surprise awaiting her. Thomas-Killam was presented with the Golden Apple Award for her unique approach to teaching.

Thomas-Killam, who is in her first year of teaching, uses her background as a yoga instructor to create a classroom dynamic unlike any other.

Golden Apple Award nominations are submitted each month by students across Iowa who feel their teacher is doing extraordinary things in the classroom. Each month WHO-TV 13 picks a winner and surprises the teacher with the award.
