Fall Kick-Off Meeting for 2019 Season


The annual kickoff meeting for Waukee fall sports will be held Sunday, August 4, 2019, in the Waukee High School Field House. This is a MANDATORY meeting for all parents and athletes participating in football, volleyball, girls swimming, cheerleading and boys/girls cross country.

Starting at 4:15 p.m. required paperwork for 8th-grade fall sports can be turned in, with a meeting for athletes and parents to follow at 5:00 p.m.  At 5:30 p.m. athletes in grades 9-12 will have an opportunity to turn in all required paperwork.  The parent/athlete meeting for those in grades 9-12 will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Individual meetings for each high school fall sport conducted by the head coaches will follow general information presented by Activities Director, Jim Duea.  Paperwork can also be turned in prior to this meeting to the Activities Office at the High School.  If paperwork isn’t turned in prior to the start of practice, athletes will not be allowed to practice. The required paperwork includes a current physical on file and a signed concussion form, both forms require a parent signature.

All 9-12 fall sports start on Monday, August 12.  The 8th-grade sports start on Friday, August 23.
