Board to Approve Waukee Northwest High School Principal
The Waukee Board of Education will be asked to approve the recommendation to appoint Dr. Fairouz Bishara-Rantisi as the Principal at Waukee Northwest High School. Dr. Bishara-Rantisi will officially begin her duties as principal on July 1, 2020, in preparation for Northwest High School opening in August 2021.
Dr. Bishara-Rantisi brings with her more than 20 years of experience in education. She started her career as a middle school art teacher in Spain before moving to Omaha, NE, where she worked in a variety of roles including Spanish Teacher, Curriculum Specialist, and High School Associate Principal. Since 2017 she has worked as Principal of Gentry Middle School, Columbia Public Schools, MO.

I look forward to sharing my passion for teaching and learning with the community!” Dr. Bishara-Rantisi said.
The board will also be asked to approve current Waukee High School administrators Nick Ross as Assistant Principal and Jim Duea as Activities Director at Northwest High School effective July 1, 2021. Cary Justmann, Judi Roland, and Gerald Heistermann will remain in their current administrative roles at Waukee High School.
The district plans to hire an Associate Principal for Northwest High School and a new Activities Director for Waukee High School in the spring of 2021.
