Board Approves Naming of the District’s Tenth Elementary School

The Board of Education approved Sugar Creek Elementary as the name for its newest elementary school on February 10. The name was selected from community submissions and feedback. Sugar Creek Elementary will be the district’s tenth elementary school, located in the southwest area of our district, north of Ashworth Road and southwest of the Sugar Creek Golf Course. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2020, with an anticipated building opening fall 2022.

A groundbreaking event will be held at a later date.
