Fall Sports Attendance Policy – 2020 

The Central Iowa Metropolitan League, based upon guidance received from Governor’s Office of the State of Iowa, the Iowa Department of Education, the Iowa Department of Public Health, the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, and the Iowa High School Athletic Association, has released its procedures for spectator admission to the CIML member school fall sports seasons.

These procedures in each respective sport were developed by the 18-member schools to help ensure that participants, staff, and spectators can safely enjoy sports in a manner that promotes social distancing. 

*** Masks are required at all venues, home and away, and should be worn at all times*** 

Varsity and Sophomore Football – Waukee Stadium

Players, coaches, cheerleaders, and dance team members will receive clearly marked passes for each game that can be exchanged for the purchase of a ticket.   Tickets will be on sale, for those holding marked passes, at the home entrance of the stadium beginning one hour before kickoff. Following social distancing guidelines of 6 feet, the home side capacity of Waukee Stadium is 400 fans.  To meet the limited seating capacity, passes will be distributed as follows:

Football players – 4 passes

Cheerleaders – 2 passes

Dance team members – 2 passes

9th Grade Football – Timberline Field

Players and coaches will receive 2 passes for each game that can be exchanged for the purchase of a ticket.

Volleyball – 9th/10th/JV/Varsity

To meet 6 feet seating guidelines in the Waukee Fieldhouse and the gyms at Prairieview and Timberline, players and coaches will receive 2 passes for each game that can be exchanged for the purchase of a ticket.  We will also follow CIML mandated roster limitations for each level.  Fans and players are expected to leave the venue after their game is over.

Swimming

Due to limited space at the Waukee YMCA Pool, fans will not be allowed.  All home meets will be live-streamed. For Waukee away meets, visiting fans are not allowed at any CIML pools.

Away football games and volleyball matches

Visiting team members will be given 2 passes for each game that can be exchanged for the purchase of a ticket.
