10-Year Facility and Financial Plan Bond Referendum Passes

We want to thank our community of voters for the remarkable support we received for this referendum on Election Day today and in the days and months leading up to the vote. The referendum vote passed at 88% supporting our 10-year facility and financial plan.

Finalizing the official vote tally (Canvass) will happen next week (9/15/20) by Dallas County. The results show what an amazing community we live in and how supportive it is of our kids and their futures.

The approved bond will allow Waukee Community Schools to continue to ensure kids have the proper facilities and technological devices they need to succeed while ensuring the long-term viability of our district. We’re so excited to get to work on these projects to make our schools stronger and even better learning environments for students and staff every day.

We look forward to sharing with you our progress on these projects.  Please take a moment to watch a brief video on our next steps. We will continue to ask for your support and feedback as we begin to build new schools and update infrastructure. We couldn’t do this important work without you and we want you to see the exciting progress as it unfolds.
