Now Announcing – Maple Grove Elementary Principal

We are excited to announce Dr. Graham Jones as the next principal at Maple Grove Elementary, effective July 1, 2022. Jones joins Waukee Community School District from West Des Moines Community Schools.  

Jones brings with him a wealth of experience from the past 21 years of serving in the West Des Moines Community School District as a teacher, Elementary Assistant Principal, Director of Curriculum, and Elementary Principal. He is currently the principal at Hillside Elementary, which is located in the Valley Junction area.

Jones received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2000, a Master’s Degree from Iowa State University in 2009, and most recently his doctorate (Ed. D.) from Drake University in 2017. His wife, Jenni, is also an educator in the area and a dedicated parent volunteer at Walnut Hills Elementary. They have four children who keep them on the go, always running from one activity to the next.
