Waukee Community School District Receives Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has recognized the Waukee Community School District with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2021. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting.

“This recognition identifies our dedication to transparency and accountability to our local taxpayers with an easy-to-read and organized Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, ” Chief Financial Officer Sarah Kautz says. “I am thankful to my team for going above and beyond in their work for this district.”

The GFOA established the program in 1945 to encourage and celebrate state and local governments that rise above the minimum requirements of accounting principles to prepare annual financial reports.
