It’s Kindergarten Enrollment Time!

Do you have a student entering kindergarten for the 2023-24 upcoming school year? Beginning January 3, you can submit all the required enrollment paperwork to the District Office. 

You’ll find an enrollment drop box in our parking lot at 560 SE University Ave., Waukee, IA 50263. You may also send your document via email to enrollment@waukeeschools.org. If you’re using email, please scan documents (PDFs) and do not send photos or images.

Please note the following timeline for kindergarten registration is for the 2023-24 school year.

• January 3 – Submit all paperwork (cover sheet, proof of residency, home language survey, immunization record, etc.). Current WCSD preschool families who finish the year with us do not need to complete this step. Your student is a “returning student” and will receive an enrollment email in the spring.
• March 20 – The online enrollment portal opens in PowerSchool Enrollment! (Current Waukee Preschool families will NOT complete this step.) Details on completing online enrollment will be sent to the email you listed on the cover sheet around 10 a.m.
• April 4 & 5 – Child care enrollment opens for CURRENT families for Beyond the Bell and the YMCA before/after school program. More information to come on our website.
• April 10 -14 – Child care enrollment opens for NEW families for Beyond the Bell and YMCA before/after school program. More information to come on our website.
