Groundbreaking for 6th Middle-Level School

The Waukee Community School District broke ground on its sixth middle-level building on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. The address is 1235 NW Douglas Parkway, which is near Trailridge School and the Waukee Schools Natatorium. All six of the Waukee CSD middle-level buildings are within the city limit of Waukee.

“Our district is growing, and with that comes a big responsibility to our community,” says Superintendent Dr. Brad Buck. “In our school district, we work to provide all the opportunities of a big school district with a small school feel.”

North Middle School is scheduled to open in the fall of 2025 for 6th and 7th graders. After it opens, North Middle School and Waukee Middle School students will go to the 9th grade at Trailridge School. Students will then transition into high school at the nearby Northwest High School.
