Meet the Next Activities Director for Timberline: Mike O’Connor

Pending board approval, Mike O’Connor will be the 2023-24 eight-and-ninth-grade Activities Director (AD) for Timberline School. He’ll work with student athletics and activities at Timberline and team up with AD Eric Boyle at Waukee High School.

Mike comes to Waukee Community School District after serving as the AD at Johnston High School. Before that, he spent a decade as the Assistant AD and Junior High Athletics Director at Dowling High School. He also has experience coaching boys basketball and tennis.

Mike is the last person in his family to join the Waukee CSD family. His wife, Jennifer, is a librarian at Waukee High School, and his two children attend Maple Grove Elementary and South Middle School.
