Waukee CSD Free Lunch Program Offers Fun Activities with Meal
Our free summer meal program is off to a great start! The program runs at six sites across West Des Moines and Waukee. And, you’ll get more than a free meal for everyone 18 and under at our sites. An exciting list of activities is planned! The activities at the Picnic & Play sites include visits by West Des Moines and Waukee Fire Departments, Iowa PBS, and Iowa Cubs mascot Cubbie Bear!
Also, if your student needs a new book for summer reading, each of our sites has free, donated books for anyone to take home.
Our six sites are open for lunch every weekday through August 9, except on July 4-5 to celebrate the holiday. Children are required to eat their meals on-site. The menu is decided ahead of time, if you’d like to review it before attending. Any questions can be sent to Nutrition Services at nutrition@waukeeschools.org.
