WHS Students Honored with Term 4 Warrior Awards


Warrior Awards

On May 14, Waukee High School recognized its final Warrior Award winners of the 2023-24 school year. Each term, teachers can nominate a student based on the following characteristics:

  • School spirit – Representing “The Warrior Way” and fostering a sense of culture and belonging
  • Perseverance – Continuous effort in the face of tough challenges, in or out of school
  • Civic engagement – Being in service to others, positive impact on the school community
  • Going above and beyond
  • Winning daily battles

Waukee High School introduced the Warrior Awards in 2022 to recognize students for their contributions to building a positive and inclusive culture. Since its inception, WHS has recognized 531 student nominees.
