Nutrition Department Opens Free and Reduce-Price Meal Eligibility Applications
Families needing financial assistance are encouraged to complete the Meal Eligibility application to determine if a child is eligible for Free or Reduced-price meals (breakfast and lunch). A new application must be submitted each year.
You do not need to apply if you received a notification letter from the Nutrition Services Department last week stating that your child is directly eligible for free or reduced meals for the 2024-25 school year. If your child is directly certified as reduced eligible and you feel you may qualify for free, you may apply.
2 Easy Ways to Submit Your Application
1. Online from a computer atwww.schoolcafe.com
2. Download the SchoolCafe (by PrimeroEdge) app to your smart device.
If you submitted online last year, your username and password are the same. If you do not remember, use the “Forgot username?” or “Forgot Password?” links on SchoolCafe.
If you cannot complete the online application and need a paper version, please email nutrition@waukeeschools.org. Please include your name, phone number, and address in the message.
Information to Have Ready for Your Application
If you are new to the online submission, there are items you’ll need:

Your child’s name and date of birth. Helpful information would be your child’s school ID and the school they will attend this fall.

New This Year — Get Immediate Confirmation
Once you submit the online application, you will receive confirmation (as well as your child’s new eligibility status) immediately if completed correctly. Please make sure you read the confirmation page. In addition, your approval/denial letter will be emailed to you from nutrition@waukeeschools.org. This letter can be accessed anytime from your SchoolCafe account under “Eligibility Info” and then “Notifications.”
