Waukee CSD Received Meritorious Budget Award

MBA RegWaukee Community School District received the Meritorious Budget Award from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) for excellence in budget presentation.

The award reflects the District’s commitment to sound fiscal management and budgetary policies. This is the third consecutive year Waukee CSD has earned the award. Waukee CSD is one of only three school districts in Iowa to receive this recognition.

“Presenting a budget that is both accessible and accurate is crucial for school districts to clearly communicate and build trust with their communities,” said Jim Rowan, ASBO International Executive Director. “The districts that receive the award are recognized for their commitment to upholding nationally recognized budget presentation standards.”

To be considered, participating districts must submit budget documents to a panel of school financial professionals who review the materials for compliance with the Meritorious Budget Award Criteria Checklist and other requirements. Waukee CSD earned the full award compliance.
