Waukee High School Hosts Star Struck: Show Choir Invitational and Jazz Choir Festival
Waukee High School is excited to host the 18th annual Star Struck: Show Choir Invitational and Jazz Choir Festival on Jan. 17 and 18. This two-day event will showcase 33 Show Choir performances and 10 Jazz Choir performances at Waukee High School Fieldhouse and Waukee High School Auditorium. It will begin with the middle school division on Friday, Jan. 13, followed by the high school division on Saturday, Jan. 14.
Before Star Struck, Waukee High School will showcase its talented choirs in the Parade of Show Choirs on Thursday, Jan. 16, in the Waukee High School Fieldhouse. This free event will feature all five of Waukee’s show choirs, providing a preview of the hard work and dedication that goes into the Waukee vocal music department. This is a great opportunity for parents and students to get a sneak peek at the performances before the competition season starts.
Northwest High School Hosts Northwest Nightfall: Show Choir Competition
After Waukee concludes Star Struck, Northwest High School will host its annual show choir competition, Northwest Nightfall, on Friday, Feb. 7, and Saturday, Feb. 8. This event will feature 22 performing show choirs. It will kick off on Friday with middle school show choirs, followed by high school show choirs on Saturday.
