The #Waukee PD's Safety City program for incoming kindergarten students in the @WaukeeCSD will take place June 10-28 this year. Registration opens March 1 at 8 a.m. This program covers street crossing, bullying, 911, poisons and more! The cost is $50. bit.ly/2BLZT4S
Carson Attaway, a fifth-grader at Shuler Elementary, made the largest profit in the fall session of The Stock Market Game, earning him first place. Eleven Shuler fifth-graders participated in the program. Congratulations on your accomplishment!
A school record 10 Waukee Wrestlers competed in the first round of the state traditional tournament. Five of those wrestlers stood on the podium as state medalists. Anthony Zach won the 170-pound class 3A championship match against Ankeny Centennial’s Logan Neils. The team scored 75 points and placed 5th in the team race. Congratulations on an amazing season!
Congratulations! The Warrior Girls’ Basketball Team defeated Iowa City West in the regional final game 69-63, on Tuesday, February 19. They will face the Dowling Catholic Maroons in the quarterfinals at Wells Fargo Arena on Monday, Feb. 25 at 1:30 pm.
Warrior Bowlers ON TO STATE! The Warrior girls bowling team will compete at the state meet on Thursday, Feb. 21 in Waterloo at the Cadillac Lanes bowling alley. Boys’ Team, freshmen Joe Jensen will compete individually. Go Warriors!
Congratulations to the Waukee Boys Swim Team who capped off another outstanding season with a team runner up finish at the State Swim in Iowa City! The boys scored in 9 out of 11 events and recorded top-four finishes in seven of those events.

This weekend is the kick off of the show choir season for Waukee’s 675 show choir performers and 80 band and crew members. The Waukee Star Struck Show Choir Invitational and Jazz Choir Festival will fill Waukee High School, 555 SE University Ave., with hundreds of talented, hard-working, energetic students Friday, Jan. 11, and Saturday, Jan. 12
