Get to know Principal Shumaker
Welcome to Woodland Hills! We’re so excited that you are part of our school family and about partnering with you in your child’s education!
My name is Scott Shumaker, and I am fortunate to serve as the Principal of Woodland Hills Elementary since 2013. Previously, I was an assistant principal and classroom teacher right here in the Waukee Community School District. I believe it is the relationships formed and collaboration between the students, families, and staff that make a building special.
Making Connections + Growing Leaders is our building motto, and the Woodland Hills Team is dedicated to providing quality education and a caring environment. We value relationships and look forward to getting to know you and your child(ren) as members of our Woodland Hills Family!
